This rocks!

Hopefully you have got here by looking at the under side of a painted rock and if this is your first time to our little website then welcome.
No doubt you are wondering where you are and what’s going on. Ivy’s gifts is a website that has been created to honour our daughter Ivy. If you would like to know more about Ivy and what we are doing then feel free to look around the rest of the site and our other blog posts. But let’s talk about why you are here right now…
Ivy loved to have fun and so do we, so we have decided to jump on board with a fun game for all the family.
A few close friends have helped us to paint some funky rocks that we have been hiding around our local areas. The aim of the rocks is to help spread the word about Ivy and her legacy but also of course to have fun.
Each rock is painted differently. On the back of them though is a link through to our website as well as our Instagram hashtag. The game itself is simple and here are the rules:
- Find a rock, there are so many different rocks to hunt for … exciting!
- Visit the site and read the rules of the game. If you have got this far then you are a superstar!
- Take a picture of your rock and share it with us on Instagram through our hashtag #ivysgifts4ever. We love to see how far our rocks have reached.
- This is the fun part. Now it’s your turn to become the hider. You get to choose where to hide the rock again. It can be somewhere close to where you live or you could hide it whilst on holiday. Let’s see how far we can spread the word about Ivy and all the good that she is doing with your help.
Of course we must all act responsibly when taking part. We want the rocks to be found but we don’t want it to be too easy. Hiding a rock near a postbox is a great idea but climbing to place a rock can be dangerous and we would hate for anyone to get hurt.
We can not take any responsibility how the rocks are used or where they are placed so please be sensible and remember have fun.
Update: As we were hiding some rocks today I heard a little girl turn to her Daddy and say, “Daddy look, I have found some treasure!”
Today I smiled, thinking that we gave that little girl a moment of joy. Ivy would be so pleased to share this sense of fun, and so happy that it makes us smile to see the joy they can bring.
